Deardra Shuler has experience in publishing, theatre, television, film, radio and concert promotion. She was affiliated with the Negro Ensemble Company and is a former manager of the children's theatre "TADA." She has produced and promoted concerts in Madison Square Garden, Carnegie Hall, and Radio City Music Hall. Ms. Shuler is the former Editor and Managing Editor of three New York City minority newspapers. Presently, she is the Entertainment Editor of The Black Star News.
As a freelance writer she has written for several New York City newspapers. Her articles have been distributed by the NNPA News Service and are accessible to 200 newspapers throughout the United States. Her exposes can be found in The Black World Today.com, Afrocentricnews.com, GlobalBlackNews.com, and New York Beacon.com. Print publications include: The Black Star News, Black Noir, The New York Beacon, The New York Trend, Community News, Flow Magazine, Flow the Magazine, The Amsterdam News, Caribbean Life, and The Daily Challenge. Her weekly column "People of Note" is featured on Eurweb.com. Deardra has experience as a book editor, producer, and journalist and also chairs the PR Board of FESPACO, the Pan African Film Festival held in Burkina Faso, West Africa.

She has written hard news stories, conducted interviews, and written profiles on celebrities, politicians, community, religious and civic leaders and a variety of notable individuals.
Ms. Shuler authored a short story published within Arielle Ford's book: "Mystical Souvenirs" sold in bookstores nationwide. She is also associated with Drum-TV in New York and is a member of the National Congress of Black Women, The National Association of Black Journalist, A Circle of Sisters, African American Women in Cinema, and The National Black Business Trade Association. Deardra functions as a senior producer and facilitator of shows on the BlakeRadio Network and also hosts her own show "Topically Yours" on the www.BlakeRadio.com, Rainbow Soul.
